  The need

The William Orr Campus of the Goulburn Ovens TAFE is located on a beautiful historic farming property on the outskirts of Shepparton. The TAFE offers a variety of trade and agriculture courses to students from the local surround and afar.

GO TAFE approached All Storage Systems in early 2019 with a need to update the furniture they were using in break out rooms around the TAFE.

The brief was that the furniture needed to be bright, modern and durable, and able to withstand constant student usage whilst also providing a comfortable, fresh and welcoming environment.

  The solution

During the initial consultation it quickly became clear that the obvious choice was the Acti Chair range.

A popular choice since the range was added to the All Storage Systems catalogues late last year. The Acti Chair is a truly versatile seating range perfect for broad usage across conferences, classroom setting and in schools and libraries.

More importantly for this project, the chairs were available in a range of colours, are fully stackable to save space when needed, and feature a flexible back, meaning the Acti chair provides a comfortable seating option for a range of students.

The outcome

The completed break out areas are now a bright, airy and welcoming place, providing a refreshing break from the chaos of studying and teaching. The areas have come to serve as a haven in the midst of what can be a hectic space, providing a quiet and interesting area for students to chat, study or simply relax when needed. The students and staff at the William Orr campus are reportedly enjoying the tranquil surrounds of the campus even more, whilst reaping all the benefits of their modern, new break out areas, including increased productivity and improved campus morale.
